Dear Hamline School of Law 1L and weekend 2Ls,
As Editor-in-Chief of the Hamline Law Review next year, I
encourage you to participate in the production of next year's volume.
Law Review is an excellent way to improve your legal writing and
Bluebooking skills. It is also a good way to distinguish yourself to
prospective employers. Plus, Law Review is a great way to get to know
your classmates while working in a professional and collegial
atmosphere.
There are two ways to become part of the Law Review. First, you
can "grade on" if you are in the top 10% of your class. Second, you can
also "write-on" by submitting an application to the Board of Editors.
Unless you are sure of your class standing, I highly encourage anyone
who is interested in participating next year to submit a write-on
application.
Write-on materials and instructions will be available May 2, 2011 on Hamline University School of Law's website at http://law.hamline.edu/hlr/index.html.
Additionally, if you would like to know more about the Hamline Law Review
and the write-on process, there will be two informational sessions this
week. The first is on Sunday, May 1st at 11:30 am in room 105. The second informational meeting will be on Monday,
May 2nd at 12 pm in room 105.
Again, your participation on the Law Review, and in the upcoming write-on process, is highly encouraged.
On behalf of the rest of the board, I look forward to working
with next year's associates and wish you the best on this semester's
final exams.
