Hamline Law innovates legal education through three renowned institutes that focus on increasingly important specialized areas -- dispute resolution, health law, and business law. Hamline's institutes provide students with opportunities to enhance both their credentials and their education by working closely with leading scholars and policy makers. The innovative scholarship generated by the institutes permeates the entire Hamline Law curriculum. Students come to Hamline to experience the distinctive advantage of a focused, cross-disciplinary education. They come because of the exceptional opportunity to cultivate expertise in their preferred legal specialty. And those are the same reasons they're hired.

Hamline University School of Law’s Dispute Resolution Institute is routinely ranked among the nation's top five alternative dispute resolution programs: America's Best Graduate Schools: U.S. News and World Report (2012 Edition).

Hamline’s Health Law Institute and its dynamic curriculum continue to reap rewards as HLI already ranks among the top 20 health law programs in the nation by U.S. News and World Report (2012 Edition).

The Business Law Institute draws from the exceptional core business law curriculum already in place at Hamline Law and better equips our students with the skills they need as they guide transactions and navigate solutions to disputes.

The Hamline Law Review, the Journal of Law and Religion and the Hamline Journal of Public Law and Policy provide forums for discussions in diverse legal areas.
