Two Hamline Law teams compete in national finals

Hamline had two teams that earned the right to participate recently in prestigious national competitions. The team of Jennifer Middleton and Steven Helseth advanced to the semifinal round of the Giles Sutherland Rich Memorial Moot Court National Finals Competition in Washington, DC,, April 13 to 15. The team was coached by Professor Jon Garon. 


The Hamline team of Katie Lockwood and Kelly Rodgers competed in the National Trial Competition in Houston, April 6 to 10. Against formidable competition, the team did not advance from the opening rounds. Lockwood and Rodgers defeated teams from Drake University, the University of Iowa and the University of Wisconsin-Madison to earn the trip to Houston. The Hamline team was coached by Hamline Law Professors James Morrow and Morgan Holcomb; and by Shawn Seiler from the law firm of Gislason, Martin, Varpness Janes, P.A.
