Profs. Coben, Fox, and Press present on dispute resolution

Hamline Law Professor James Coben spoke at the University of Minnesota law school in a workshop for members of the school's international law society and international negotiation project last week. The workshop detailed the multi-year "Rethinking Negotiation Teaching" project that Coben has led since 2008. Among other things, the project has published two books (Rethinking Negotiation Teaching and Venturing Beyond the Classroom), with two more volumes to be published this spring (Assessing our Students, Assessing Ourselves and Educating Negotiators for a Connected World). Coben is also a founding editor of the newly launched 谈判 Tán Pàn: The Chinese-English Journal On Negotiation, the first journal in mainland China dedicated to the study of negotiation.

Drawing on the research from the "Rethinking Negotiation Teaching" project, Professor Coben joined fellow Hamline Law professors Ken Fox and Sharon Press to present a workshop on Cross-Cultural Dispute Resolution at Saint Catherine University's Evening of Global Leadership Learning on March 26.
