Governor Mark Dayton recently appointed Hamline Law alum James Moore, JD '85, as district court judge in Minnesota's Fourth Judicial District.
Moore currently serves as the litigation manager of the civil division for the City of Minneapolis, where he is responsible for assigning and supervising all litigation for the city. He previously worked as an assistant city attorney for the civil divisions of both Minneapolis and Bloomington.
Additionally, Moore is actively involved with the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Civic Education Committee and is a community member of the Minnesota Internship Center School Board. Moore has also volunteered as a judge for the Hamline University National Mock Trial Competition and as a youth basketball coach.
