New 1Ls invited to volunteer with MFJ project

Incoming 1L law students at the four local law schools are invited to participate in the Minnesota Justice Foundation's 2013 Pre-Orientation Service Project (POSP). Students have the opportunity to get to know other their classmates and the public interest legal community by volunteering prior to their law school orientation.

Hamline Law's POSP will take place August 12-16. The week will kick off with a training session on navigating public interest at the Minnesota Judicial Center from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, August 12. Most of the service projects run from Tuesday through Friday, for 3-8 hours per day. Students may sign up to participate in the service projects using the registration form linked below. Space is limited, and the registration form will close July 26. Email the MJF with questions at posp@mnjustice.org.

The Minnesota Justice Foundation (MJF) works with legal services providers and law students across the state. They connect students with practical legal service opportunities that meaningfully serve low-income community members or public interest issues.
