Find and meet your new classmates on Facebook! If you search in Facebook under "Groups," you will find your class under "Hamline Law, Fall '09 Entering Class."

LEGAL METHODS
An integral part of orientation is your participation in Legal Methods sessions designed to help you be successful in law school. Before orientation, you must closely read our Case Briefing booklet, then craft your own briefs for the following cases.

Weekend & Weekday Student Cases
Weekend Case Briefing #1 (Calder v. Jones) - Professor Jim Coben
Weekday Case Briefing #1 (Niese v. Skip Barber Racing School, Inc.) - Professor Ed Butterfoss
Case Briefing #2 (Boudoin v. Lykes Brothers Steamship Co., Inc.) - Professor Steve Swanson

Case Briefing & Synthesis - Professors Mary Trevor & Mary Dunnewold
Motschenbacher Case
White Case

In this session, the professors will move you beyond understanding individual cases to understanding the interplay that happens when a group of cases addresses the same topic. For this presentation, please read both cases and take a stab at briefing them. You will NOT be asked to turn anything in, but you will want to be very familiar with both cases so you can follow and participate in the discussion.
