Life at Hamline

A “typical” day in the life of a Hamline law student might include:
  • Writing a brief;
  • Researching a topic for a scholarly paper;
  • Talking with a faculty member or the Registrar:
  • Preparing for a moot court competition;
  • Meeting successful alumni at a six-minute social;
  • Observing the Minnesota Supreme Court in action;
  • Or simply engaging in stimulating class discussions.

No matter how you choose to shape your law school experience, you’ll be part of a dynamic, inclusive and diverse community committed to learning and legal excellence.

Choosing the right law school community

The law school moot court room was recently renovated to include state-of-the-art technology. The library, classrooms and common areas are all either wired or wireless. The Hamline University football and track and field teams have a new home in the Robert and Alexandra Klas Center, which was completed in August 2004. The $7.1 million Klas Center is a four-level multi-use facility which provides an improved athletic stadium, as well as learning, gathering and meeting spaces.

The Walker Fieldhouse includes a three-court gym, which accommodates recreation and athletic practices for tennis, track, baseball, fast-pitch softball, basketball and volleyball.
