The Law Library has a new service available to students--Chat with a Librarian. This service is perfect if you are working in another part of the library, or from home, and need to ask a question. Just go to the Law Library's homepage and click on the "Chat with a Librarian" button. You will be connected to the librarian on duty. This service is available from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on weekends. If there is no librarian on duty, leave a message and we will get back to you.

Did you know the Law Library has a fan page on Facebook? Log in to your Facebook account and search for "Hamline Law Library."

The new login system is up and running on the library computers. Students should remember to log out when they are done using the library computers.

Welcome Back Law Students

Wednesday, January 21, 2009

You will have noticed some changes to the decor of the library's first level. New carpet, seating area and a new Circulation desk were chosen to make the library more visually appealing. The reserve books are now in a closed room, so if you want a reserve book or other reserve material, ask at the Circulation desk.

Another big change is the requirement that students and other users log in to the public access computers. To do this, you will need to use your Hamline email user name and password. Remember to log out once you are done using the computer. Guest log-ins are available for non-Hamline students. Ask at the Circulation desk.

Chat reference is now available during the hours a reference librarian is on duty. Click on the "Chat with a Librarian!" box on the library home page.

We welcome you back to the library and wish all students a happy and successful Spring Semester!
