The site was launched in 1995, and has continued to expand over the years, offering more free legislative information to the public. Features include Bills and Resolutions (current Congress and back to 1989); Current activity in Congress; Congressional Record (back to 1989); Schedules and Calendars for the House and Senate; Committee Reports (back to 1995); Presidential Nominations (back to 1987); and Treaties (back to 1967—complete coverage begins with 94th Congress). Also included are links to information on legislative issues from government and non-government sources.
