On November 20, local entertainment lawyers John Stout of Fredrikson & Bryon and Daniel M. Satorius Vice President Lommen Abdo Cole King & Stageberg, P.A. and Co-Chair of the Entertainment Law Department joined Dean Jon Garon for an information-packed discussion on the role lawyers should play in invigorating Minnesota's film business. Panelists explained that making movies in Minnesota involves much more than identifying interesting scripts and scouting locations. Lawyers must be involved in the process of raising capital, preparing and reviewing contracts, protecting intellectual copyright and other key issues.
