Child Advocacy

Hamline has a very special focus on child advocacy issues, which address the profound need in our society to protect and nurture children. Students interested in working in fields implicating children's rights will receive the foundational knowledge and skills they need through traditional lecture courses and hands-on clinic and externship experiences. Hamline provides important opportunities for students to observe and work with specialists in children's rights and welfare, including adoption, child abuse, foster care, juvenile detention, and parental support obligations. This rewarding focus area will enable students to make an important difference in the lives and rights of society's youngest members.
