Intellectual property (IP) is a stimulating and challenging field -- one that has become even more exciting in light of fast-paced changes in biotechnology, computer law, and interactive multimedia. Hamline's IP focus area provides students with a well-rounded grounding in IP fundamentals, as well as upper-level offerings in areas of IP specialization, including copyright, trademark, and patent law. The challenging curriculum combines the theoretical with the practical and exposes students to a diverse blend of statutory, constitutional, and policy issues. This focus area ultimately prepares students for rewarding careers in a broad variety of professional contexts.
