A Message from Dean Lewis
Nearly 550 alumni participated in our annual campaign for the School of Law in fiscal year 2001, bringing the alumni participation total to 11%. Because of your gifts, our students and their achievements are getting noticed. Thank you.
This year, Hamline students received honors-nationally and internationally-in a dozen student competitions. Two symposia -- organized by student-led Hamline journals -- featured prominent scholars and practitioners. Special awards from the ABA, MSBA, and the Federal Bar Association recognized extraordinary professional engagement by individual Hamline students. Looking forward to the next school year, I fully anticipate achievements on par and surpassing those from this year.
The importance of annual giving to the student experience is not lost on our alumni. In the following video message, several leading alumni reflect on the law school's continued relevance to their lives and careers. I offer this video message because I believe you may share their perspectives on the value of a Hamline law degree.
I hope you demonstrate this shared perspective through a gift to the Law Alumni Annual Fund this year – and help continue student achievements and successes through the coming years. Please make a difference for our students and programs today. Contribute now at www.hamline.edu/giving.
Sincerely,
Donald M. Lewis
Dean and Professor of Law
