Contemporary Conversations

The Journal of Law and Religion was founded on the belief that the disciplines of law and religion offer a rich resource for critically evaluating and positively shaping the quality of our common life, as it encounters the complex challenges and conflicts of modernity. In pursuing that vision, the Journal publishes intellectual work in law and religion from a variety of faith and secular traditions and perspectives about twice a year. To further our mission and to bring some of the intellectual wealth the Journal has to offer to wider community conversations about pressing public concerns more quickly, we have inaugurated this Contemporary Conversations page, as well as a new Books of Interest page. Each quarter, The Contemporary Conversations page will feature a recently published or soon-to-be published article in the Journal which reflects deeply on public issues facing our local, national and international community. The Books of Interest page will post short book reviews so that readers may learn quickly about new literature in law and religion. We would invite you to review the other outstanding work we publish by browsing our Index.
