We offer two outstanding pathways to a law degree
Full-time Weekday Program
Students participating in the full-time weekday program may complete law school in six academic semesters. Under the full-time program, students must register for a minimum of 12 credits per fall or spring academic semester. During the first year of law school, full-time students are typically divided into two sections of approximately 60-70 students. Their legal writing class consists of a smaller group of about 20 students.
Part-time Weekend JD
The Part-time Weekend JD is an innovative scheduling option available to Hamline Law students. This program works well for students who have a career, a family, or other time commitments. Designed for those seeking a quality legal education in a weekend format, the weekend program has a limited enrollment and admission is selective. Weekend JD students take full advantage of everything our full-time students experience, and required courses are taught by experienced, full-time professors. Most Weekend JD students graduate in just four years.
Prospective students are encouraged to review the JD application page for instructions and tips on how to begin the process.
