Instructor Mickelson is a part-time adjunct professor in Hamline's Legal Research and Writing department. She currently teaches Legal Research and Writing III for Weekend students and the Selected Topic course "Multistate Performance Test Preparation."


Instructor Mickelson works as a manager of Academic Product Development at Thomson Reuters. She also has served as a senior product developer, creating and maintaining products on Westlaw.com. She possesses significant knowledge of the criminal justice field, as she has served as a judicial clerk and interned with the U.S. Attorney's Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Legal Aid Society, Capital Defenders Unit.


In addition to her current role at Hamline, Instructor Mickelson was an adjunct attorney instructor of Legal Research and Writing at the University of Minnesota Law School. During the 2006-2007 school year, she served as an Academic Skills Program Tutor at Hamline University School of Law. She also has taught technical writing to engineering students at Vanderbilt University School of Engineering.
