Miriam Stone currently serve the regional director of government affairs for MillerCoors Brewing Company, where she is responsible for development and execution of comprehensive political and legislative strategies to advance and protect the business interests of MillerCoors. Her budgetary responsibilities include management and prioritization of consultants budget political tools, focused management of sponsorships, political contributions and industry partnerships.
Stone previously served as senior director, Government Affairs for Advance America, an international consumer finance company, representing the company throughout the midwest and in Washington, D.C. Her professional experience also includes serving as an attorney at Larkin Hoffman; director of public policy for the Builders Association of the Twin Cities; general counsel with Minnesota Developers and Builders Legal Action Fund; and of counsel with Crocus Hill Consulting, LLC.
An active lobbyist, Stone devotes a majority of her time to government programs, including representing the Builders Association of the Twin Cities before the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency on storm water rulemaking matters.
Stone has been a member of Hamline Law's adjunct faculty since 1999, teaching courses in the areas of statutory interpretation, drafting, legislation and lobbying with emphasis on ethics in non-adjudicative settings.
