Why a career in law? This is the best way to achieve my goal of helping others and increasing people's education about our legal system.
Why Hamline? I was interested in family law and mediation and Hamline had a great alternative dispute resolution program.
Hamline's
culture? The Hamline community is very community based. All
the students help each other out and faculty is always accessible.
Also, the administration is supportive, which is important in law school.
How are you involved? President of Black Law Student Association, Vice-President of Latino Law Student Association, Children Right's Association, Minnesota Justice Foundation
Goals after law school?
If practicing, I hope to work in the area of Family Law, especially
with juveniles. I also have a desire to work for the Department
of Justice or another entity of the federal government.

One thing you wish you had known before starting law school: I would be learning an entirely new way of thinking and it is okay if I feel like I know nothing.
How will you improve the world when you're a lawyer? I plan to contribute back to my community and improve people of color's awareness about their legal rights.
