Student Affairs
The Office of Student and Multicultural Affairs serves as the primary liaison for students with administration and faculty and is responsible for virtually all matters involving the quality of student life at Hamline Law. The office works in tandem with administrators at the law school and University to ensure that Hamline Law students experience a supportive, inclusive, and successful legal education.
The staff maintains an approachable, confidential office that exists to help students locate resources and to maximize the quality of student life. If you are not sure where to go for a quick question or a more serious concern, please make the Office of Student and Multicultural Affairs your first stop. Student Organizations
Hamline Law students are encouraged to actively participate in activities outside of classroom learning. A multitude of Hamline Law student organizations exist for students to pursue professional, social, and extracurricular interests while creating new opportunities for building relationships with other students. Student Membership Meeting Planning
To reserve a room for a student organization membership meeting, please complete a Room Reservation Request Form.
Student Organization Events at the School of Law
For a list of scheduled events, please visit the Student Bar Association website or the School of Law event calendar.
The Office of the Assistant Dean for Students and Multicultural Affairs and the Programs Office are available to assist with planning student events and projects.
If your organization is planning an event (other than a general membership meeting), you must first obtain the approval of your event by submitting an Event Approval Form. This form can be emailed to Deb Lange in the Programs Office or dropped off in Room 106A.
If your organization intends to serve alcohol at the event, please consult Hamline University's policy on serving alcohol. Please see the Office of the Assistant Dean for Students and Multicultural Affairs/Programs Office for an Alcohol Event Approval Form.
