Right in the middle of everything.

Hamline is located in the heart of the Twin Cities of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, with ample opportunity for outstanding cultural, social and recreational activity. For those who chose to remain after graduation, the Twin Cities is a good place to build a career. Nearly two dozen Fortune 500 companies make their headquarters in the Twin Cities urban area, including 3M, Cargill, Medtronic, Target Corporation and General Mills. The Twin Cities has been ranked the “best metro area for business” by, and Forbes has ranked Minneapolis as the “third best city for singles.”

Small town comfort. Big city diversions.

Our campus is located in the Midway neighborhood – another way of saying we’re in the middle of everything:

    • To the North: Browse the shops at Har-Mar Mall (including a Barnes & Noble bookstore).
    • To the South: Capture the unique shopping and dining experiences along Grand Avenue.
    • To the West: Take a short trip west down University Avenue and you pass through the University of Minnesota, and on to downtown Minneapolis – the Twin Cities entertainment capital.
    • To the East: Tour east down University Avenue towards more shopping, sporting events, and entertainment opportunities in downtown Saint Paul.

    Anticipation of relaxation.

Beautiful Como Park (including Conservatory, Zoo, and Japanese gardens) is just to the north of Hamline University. Stroll around Como Lake, take a paddleboat cruise, or stop to enjoy seasonal concerts at the lakeside pavilion.

Get in the game at Hamline University.

The Twin Cities is the home of four major league sports teams: Major League Baseball's Minnesota Twins, the NFL's Minnesota Vikings, the NBA's Minnesota Timberwolves, and right down the road in downtown Saint Paul, the fabulous Xcel Center is the home of the National Hockey League’s Minnesota Wild. Sports enthusiasts who like a little "minor" mayhem should see a Saint Paul Saints baseball game. The Saint Paul Saints play their home games at the Midway Stadium, just northwest of Hamline University.
